Dear SPC Families,

Happy St. Patrick's Day! "May your blessings outweigh the number of shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go." I know the kids enjoyed their Shamrock Shakes today. Thank you to the Herrera Family who donated the shakes so that we could add over $1400 to the Lenten Almsgiving project with Catholic Extension! Please click here to see the results of last year's Lenten Almsgiving project; your lenten gifts truly make a difference in Catholic families living in mission dioceses!

As far as Leprechaun mischief, I am not sure if we actually caught any leprechauns with the traps set throughout the building, but I am sure your children will share with you the shenanigans and tomfoolery the leprechauns made in the classrooms!

The SPC Life Team raised over $2700, which is going to the Knights of Columbus Ukraine Solidarity Fund. This fund is being used to provide shelter, food, medical supplies, clothing, religious goods, and other humanitarian needs identified, both directly in Ukraine and through refugee sites in Poland, thanks to local Knights based in Ukraine and Poland. They are the "Boots on the ground" in the relief operation. (www.kofc.org)

Lenten Almsgiving:
Each Lent, we encourage students to practice Almsgiving. Please talk to your kids about things they can do around the house to help Legendary Lodge. This year, their donations will go to support Legendary Lodge so that children in the Diocese of Helena Montana can grow in their relationship with Jesus. Yesterday, we sent home an envelope and a flyer with all the information about the Almsgiving Project with your child. Please encourage them to contribute their donations earned from helping around the house. They can return the envelope to the main office before Easter Break.

In partnership with Catholic Extension, St. Paul of the Cross is helping Legendary Lodge in the Diocese of Helena, Montana grow. Your efforts will ensure that many more generations of Catholic campers can come to know Christ at the summer camp at Legendary Lodge.

Legendary Lodge offers a robust youth ministry program that is "connecting the dots" between small, rural faith communities and the universal Church. Locals often refer to Legendary Lodge as "the jewel of the diocese."

The beautiful campground is located on a pristine river valley nestled between Montana mountains. Nearly 900 children travel to the campsite for a unique Catholic experience each summer. The mission of Legendary Lodge has remained constant - to guide and accompany young disciples as they encounter Christ in prayer, sacrament, community, and the beauty of God's creation. The camp focuses on faith formation and provides a week of prayer, fellowship, adventure, and joy. These cherished experiences persist as building blocks of faith, service, and generosity that last long into adulthood.

All camps are staffed by outstanding Catholic young adults who express their faith and personally model examples of knowing and serving Christ for the campers. A time-honored tradition at Legendary Lodge is that a camp counselor tells an interesting story or a testimony about their personal faith each night. Based on the impactful camp experience, parishes see their youth continue church involvement year-round.

The dream at Legendary Lodge has always been to expand the camp to increase the number of campers they can accept each summer. You can help make that dream come true for Legendary Lodge! Let's help more Legendary Lodge campers grow in their faith!

Shorts:
Students can wear shorts from April 15th to the end of the school year. For this year, students can wear shorts after we return from spring break.

Changing Uniform Providers:
Effective June 1st, we will no longer be using Lands' End as the Uniform Provider. THE UNIFORM IS NOT CHANGING ONLY THE PROVIDER. We will be using Tommy Hilfiger Uniforms for the provider. The price point for the uniforms is more cost-effective while the quality of items is improved. The only item not available from Tommy Hilfiger is the Ponte Knit Jumper for the EGC; the polo dress and plaid jumper will be available. The Ponte Knit Jumper will still be allowed as part of the uniform, but the last day to order those will be May 31, 2022.

Yearbook Orders:
A final Reminder that the deadline to order a St. Paul of the Cross yearbook is Friday, April 8th. If you are unsure if you ordered a yearbook, please contact Mrs. McCallister at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before ordering a second one since they are nonrefundable. After you purchase a yearbook, you will receive a confirmation email from TreeRing. Orders placed after April 8th will be shipped home, and you will have to pay for delivery.
