January 6, 2022

Dear SPC Families,

Welcome back to school and happy 2022! Despite the fact that our children are in school and learning alongside their classmates, it is evident that we are in the middle of a Covid surge. With that said, I am relieved to say that in all reported cases, the symptoms are mild. However, I am asking you to remain vigilant in making sure that you keep your child home if they have any symptoms. To be honest, I am seeing a variety of results with testing, so the safest way to make sure we stay in school is to keep your child home if they have any symptoms. Thank you, we will get through this!

GIVEN THE RISE IN CASES, WILL SPC GO REMOTE?
At this time, we have no plans to go remote. We reevaluate the situation daily but remain committed to safe in-person instruction. Currently, there is no reason even to consider a full campus remote learning plan. While there are definitely more cases in the EGC, the UGC (fingers crossed) has been having a really great week! If there are multiple cases in one class, we will consider going remote in that one room for a period of 5 days.

What helps us is if we have accurate vaccination records on file; please do so if you have not already sent your vaccination card to the main office.
