January 28, 2021

Dear SPC Families,

Normally this time of year, we would be preparing for a Sunday Open House for Catholic Schools week and gathering together for Family Catholic Schools Mass. I am hopeful that we can resume our regular Catholic Schools Week celebrations by this time next year. Despite the slight change in plans, we have a tremendous amount to be thankful for as we celebrate our beautiful community during Catholic Schools Week!

  • Our amazing, dedicated faculty and staff returned in August to accept the challenges of opening school for in-person learning! Our faculty and staff joyfully lead and serve each and every day.
  • We continue to be open each day for in-person learning and react quickly to quarantine if needed to ensure our community is safe! Our students are in class each day, learning, socializing, and growing!
  • We expanded our Social Emotional Learning program to ensure we are fostering wellness in all our students.
  • In September, we celebrated winning a 2nd Blue Ribbon for Academic Excellence!
  • We welcomed many new families to our community and strengthened our vitality with a steady enrollment increase. Next year we anticipate waitlists across multiple grade levels.

Thank you for allowing us to partner in educating your children!

Included in this weeks letter:

  • Celebrating the Spirit Parent Appeal!
  • Catholic Schools Week Schedule
  • Catholic Schools Food Drive
  • New Parent Speaker Series
  • COVID DASHBOARD

Celebrating the Spirit 2021: A Fundraising Campaign for a Remarkable School Year
February 1 – 19, 2021

GOAL: $80,000

This year looks a little different in terms of our annual Celebrating the Spirit gala. Typically, we are all gathered in style at a beautiful venue, sipping on cocktails and mingling with all our favorite people from our community. Greeting old friends and making new ones. Being tempted by the fabulous display of both silent and live items and walking away from a night with hearts full of great memories and possibly more purchases than you remembered. It has always been ‘that night,’ the one that everyone looks forward to all year long. Celebrating the Spirit is a vital fundraiser for the school, and it is also an an essential community-building event that brings us all together for one collective purpose; we can't wait to gather together again in the future!

As we cannot have our Gala this year, the CTS Parent Appeal is a way to celebrate everything you love about our school while also investing in our community and our future. We need your support, and our goal is $80,000. 100% participation will get us there!

You will be receiving your invitation along with a parent pledge card tomorrow; so be sure to check your oldest/only student's backpack! For our remote learners, you will receive it in the mail. We have some fun in store for the classrooms with 100% participation, and for individual pledging as well. We will send all of those details and more updates throughout the next 3 weeks. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!

The Student Council will be collecting food donations for the SPC parish food pantry next week as one of our Catholic Schools Week service projects! We ask that each student bring in one or more of the food listed next to their grade. Please be sure that the food you bring does not expire before February 2021. Student Council will be collecting your food donations from each homeroom February 1 - 5. Friday, February 5, is the last day to bring in donations.

We are also in need of large cardboard boxes! If you have any boxes to spare, please bring them to school and use them to store your class's food donations. Boxes will be collected with the food donations. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
