October 15, 2020

Dear SPC Families,

It is wonderful to be back at school! The children looked great today, and they were all ready to smile for the camera! Please see below for a few housekeeping reminders:

Tomorrow CTS Out of Uniform Day:

We have rescheduled the October CTS Out of Uniform day for tomorrow since we were not in school two weeks ago.

Confusion About Re-enrollment Packets and Email Regarding Medical Forms:
Yesterday our re-enrollment system generated a reminder that health forms must be uploaded or your child will be excluded. Some parents did not realize they had to finalize their accounts. If you have previously uploaded your medical forms on FACTS, you just need to finalize and submit so that we can print your forms out. If you have not uploaded the required forms, please bring them to the office or send them in with your child.

  • Physical Examination Forms are required for preschool, kindergarten, 6th grade, and all new and transfer students in any grade.

  • Dental Examination Forms are required for kindergarten, 2nd grade, 6th grade, and all new and transfer students in 1st - 8th grade.

  • Eye Examination Forms are required for kindergarten and all new and transfer students in 1st - 8th grade.

Halloween:

Sadly we must cancel our beloved Fun Fair for this year. While it is easy to focus on what we can’t do, I would prefer to focus on what we can do:

  • Students may wear costumes to school on Friday, October 30th. They still must wear masks during the day, so I recommend not sending them with any other mask. Costumes must be appropriate for school.
  • Students will have small Halloween parties in their classrooms.
  • Students will be provided with a pre-packaged treat. Do not send treats from home; they will be sent back with your child.

Dropoff and Pickup Safety:
For the safety of our children, we are asking all students to please cross at crosswalks. Parents, we cannot have students crossing in the middle of the streets. It is too dangerous.

No Parking Along Summit in Front of School:
Parents--do not park on Summit in front of the school in the morning. This is the kiss and go line for 7th and 8th grade.

Six Flags Rread to Succeed

Great news! Don't throw those 2020 Read to Succeed Six Flags Great America tickets away. Six Flags Great America will honor the 2020 tickets through August 2021.
