Dear SPC Families,

Happy New Year! It is wonderful to have everyone back from Christmas vacation. I am looking forward to the many activities we have coming up from Roundball to Catholic Schools Week to Celebrating the Spirit! We are hitting the ground running with a busy start to 2020!

Roundball 2020:
The Roundball Tournament starts this weekend. We will be posting updates and schedules on social media. Stop by the gym for some FABULOUS SPC FUN! Tournament games (a boys’ tourney and a girls’ tourney) will be held SUNDAY, JANUARY 12TH THROUGH JANUARY 18TH. For those of you new to SPC , the SPC Roundball Tournament consists of two separate basketball tournaments for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls. Our high school-aged SPC alumni return to their alma mater to coach the teams. More than 70 alumni participate each year and have just as much fun and friendly competition as the SPC students! Members of the SPC Men’s Club serve as announcers, and professional referees officiate. Awards are given for the champions, school spirit, and leadership. Please see below for Roundball 2020's program including the teams, bracket, and more!

Today your oldest or only child will be coming home with your Celebrating the Spirit invitation. Be sure to check those backpacks! For those students who attend half day or are not at school today, we will send the invitations home with them upon their next day at school.

The CTS Committee has been hard at work behind the scenes in preparation for Celebrating the Spirit at the Oscars. They have an incredible night planned so be sure to keep an eye out for their updates as we countdown to the big night. In the meantime, go to the CTS website to purchase your tickets, donate toward the teachers' tickets, and purchase raffle tickets. I sincerely hope that you will join us!

This past week the students in grades Preschool-8th grade have had brief developmentally appropriate presentations from Northwest CASA on some of the topics below. On January 28th Ms. Caccavallo will cover the curriculum and what was presented at each grade level. I strongly encourage all families to attend the meeting on the 28th.
