October 3, 2019

Dear SPC Parents,
Happy October! Yesterday we returned from a wonderful 2 days in the beautiful Wisconsin woods with our 8th graders. I am confident (as soon as I fully recover) that we will make this an annual tradition where our 8th graders take time to be together for team building, collaboration, adventure and memory making. I was very impressed by how our 8th grade students worked together to encourage one another to try challenging tasks and problem solve through different team building activities. They showed great flexibility in problem solving and tremendous compassion helping one another face their fears in tasks on the high ropes course or climbing tower. A very special thanks to our fearless chaperones, Ms. Guarnieri, Mr. Bravos, Mr. Warner, and Ms. Iacopelli for their marathon 36 hour field trip! We were also fortunate to have Mrs. Shultz and Mrs. Ufheil come up and surprise us for the day.

Last week we held our 2nd annual Tiger Fun Run! We had so much fun cheering on our students who ran to raise money for instructional supplies and technology enhancements! I am thrilled to report that we have raised over $78,000! Thank you to Mrs. McManus and Mrs. O’Connor for co-chairing the event!

Looking ahead to next week:
