December 8, 2022

Dear SPC Families,

A huge congratulations to Mrs. Dohr, Mrs. Mikowski, and all the volunteers for a successful Book Fair!

This past week all of our 8th-grade classes had the opportunity to spend a day at DePaul University as the culmination of the Catholic Future Leaders Project. Our 8th graders have worked hard on their projects which examined areas they want to improve at SPC. They presented them to DePaul professors and even the Dean of the School of Education. Thank you to Mrs. Quinn and the teachers for all their guidance and preparation in making this project happen! All of our 8th graders earned a micro-credential from DePaul University on Leadership!

This Saturday, come and cheer on some SPC basketball! We have all our SPC teams playing that day for pack the gym! It will be a fun day celebrating a great basketball season! We also have some spaces for the Christmas Drive-in Movies! Click below for more information.

Re-enrollment for the 2023-2024 School Year:
It is that time of year when we begin re-enrollment for the next school year. On Monday, December 12th, you will receive an email to re-enroll through FACTS. You will need to use the same login you have used to enroll in the past. Re-enrollment will be from December 12th-January 20th. On Monday, the enrollment packet will contain the following information:

  • Draft 23-24 School Calendar
  • 23-24 Tuition Rates
  • Grant and Aid Information
  • Medical Forms needed to be completed by August 1st.

It is essential that you complete the re-enrollment for 23-24 by January 20th as we have a record number of new family applications for Preschool-8th grade for next year. We will start accepting new families on January 27th based on the space available after our current families have registered. Please make sure to re-enroll!

I have to pick my child up for an appointment?
We understand that some appointments must be made during the school day (orthodontists, specialists, doctors, etc.); however, please give the teachers and office staff advance notice by emailing or calling in advance. It is very disruptive to the teachers and classrooms when they have to stop in the middle of a lesson to take a call from the office that someone is getting picked up. If you send an email to the teacher, please copy the respective administrative assistant from that building so they know who will be leaving ahead of time.

Scholastic Book Fair Thank You
Dear Parents and Families,

I’m sending my sincere gratitude for making our Book Fair an outstanding success!
Thanks to your contributions, we raised over $16,000 for our school, which we’ll use to grant a variety of wishes. My reward for hosting this Book Fair is watching your kids discover new books.  All that joy wouldn’t be possible without Mrs. Laura Mikowski and all the volunteers from our school community – they deserve my special thanks.

If you have unused funds in your child’s eWallet, your child missed out on the Fair, or if your child has already finished every new book, there’s still time to shop! Our Book Fair will continue ONLINE THROUGH DECEMBER 14TH. Please note, all orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25.  Buddy up with a friend. EWallets can be shared. Your online purchases will also benefit our school. Click below to shop our Fair:

Faculty Gift Fund

FACULTY FUND XMAS
Hello, SPC Families!

With the holidays just around the corner, Home and School Association has begun collecting contributions for the Faculty Fund. The Faculty Fund is a school-wide collection of monetary gifts which is then equitably divided among all SPC full time faculty, part time faculty, administrative and support staff.  In previous years, families have donated $75-$100 per family, however, the FACTS form allows for you to contribute any amount with which you are comfortable.

The link to the form below will be open through Friday, December 16th at Noon. Gifts will be distributed to our incredible SPC faculty on Wednesday, December 21st.
If you have any questions, please contact Home and School Association at homeandschool@spc-school.net.
