I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! Just a reminder that the school office is closed next week. I am grateful for each and every one of you who makes SPC the amazing school community it is for our children!
To be honest, I don’t think it was the Taylor Swift presale tickets that broke the internet Tuesday. It was definitely the launch of the SPC 23-24 admissions applications that broke the internet! We are pleased to have so many new families wanting to join our school next year. That said, please note the following timeline for re-enrollment for 2023-2024 school year.
Re-enrollment timeline for 2023-2024
December 19, 2022: Re-enrollment opens for current families; please make sure you know how to log in to FACTS. At this time, you will also receive the 23-24 tuition and the proposed 23-24 school calendar. Look for an email on the 19th with directions.
January 20, 2023: Re-enrollment for 2023-2024 deadline
January 27, 2023: New families who have applied for enrollment will be accepted based on space available after current families register.
TRIMESTER 2 BEGINS:
Tomorrow is the last day of Trimester 1! We will send home report cards on December 1st. 7th and 8th graders will receive their new Electives choices when they return on November 28th.
ADOPT A FAMILY-DEADLINE December 9th-Thank you for the donations!
SPC has a long-standing tradition of partnering with the parish Social Service Ministry to ensure that needy families in our community have a wonderful Christmas. The Adopt-A-Family program will collect funds and purchase gift cards so families can buy their own gifts. Given the timeline for purchasing the gift cards to ensure timely distribution on December 17th, we ask that funds be collected by December 9th.
100% of these proceeds will go towards the Adopt-A-Family program in our Social Service Ministry.

SPC Winter After School Clubs!
Check out these great after school activities that take place at SPC! Our creative staff has created some unique and full-filled after school CLUBS (these are classes in addition to after school activities provided by other outside vendors.) Please sign up soon as spots are limited. Winter Clubs begin the week of November 28th. Once you have submitted the registration form and payment, changes cannot be made and refunds will not be issued.

SPC 8th Grade Class to finish work on Micro-Credential from DePaul University!
Our 8th graders worked on their Catholic Future Leader Micro-Credential for the past two weeks from DePaul University. This leadership program is a 20-hour program supporting students to become leaders. Our students engaged in six days of workshops to inspire success led by DePaul University Faculty. Students have worked collaboratively on their choice of a leadership project and will be awarded a micro-credential. During the first week of December, each 8th-grade homeroom will travel to DePaul University to present their work in front of DePaul Faculty. This program supports the distinct excellence of Catholic Schools and addresses the goals of Catholic Identity. We are fortunate that the Schreiber Family Foundation, in partnership with DePaul University, is making this amazing opportunity available to our students.
Whole Brain Living In School Environments: Parents and Faculty come together!
Thank you to those parents and faculty who participated in the Whole Brain Living workshops through DePaul University. Teachers and parents came together for the last two sessions to discuss what they learned and how to partner with each other to share these strategies with our children. Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, Author and Harvard-trained neuroscientist, even joined us to answer questions from our group. What an excellent collaboration! Mrs. Quinn has several copies of Whole Brain Living; please email her if you’d like one sent home.
