January-June Thursdays Lunchtime in the Music Room

Beginning in January, Choir Rehearsals are Thursdays during lunch/recess time. This is due to the upcoming audition & rehearsal schedule of the musical. Students should bring a nut-free lunch & meet in the music room. We spend the first portion of the period eating, followed by a rehearsal of primarily church music & harmony since our focus has changed from concert prep.

Choir participants sing at Cultural Fair, the Christmas Program and at each All School Masses & other school events, have opportunities to read at every all school mass gaining public speaking skills, rehearse audition materials for the musical during choir practice in January, take mock auditions for the musical to try & alleviate the typical feelings associated with any audition: fear & anxiety. Choir members also have other opportunities to sing outside of SPC.

Permission slips and $20 activity fee must be turned in & signed by student & parent, returned to Ms. Elko by the

first rehearsal on September 1st. Checks payable to SPC.
