Walkathon 2017 - Just Walk it!
New this year, the Walkathon Committee has created our very own personal and team online fundraising pages. Each student is a participant with their classroom team, as in year's past. But new this year, the teams will be able to update their team pages and share their motivation and excitement as they reach for their goals.

You will be receiving one email per student from SPC Walkathon by Friday, September 8th. It will give you a link to your student(s) fundraising page. You will be prompted to change the username and password of the page. From there, you'll have access to the personal page and be able to edit to personalize it before sending to friends and family. The emails will be going to the primary email on your family account as this system only allows for one. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Soup-er Stadium Challenge!
We are thrilled to be participating in the Archdiocese of Chicago and Catholic Charities new initiative, the Soup-er Stadium Challenge, this fall, an effort to help eliminate hunger in our community. As shared in the letter from Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, and Rev. Monsignor Michael M. Boland, President of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Challenge asks every Catholic school student, teacher and staff member to donate (at least) one non-perishable food item to fill the shelves of Catholic Charities’ food pantries. Please click here to read the full letter with the details for SPC.

A very fond farewell to Mrs. Jacobs
After 28 years at St. Paul of the Cross School, Mrs. Kathleen Jacobs has decided to enjoy some free time with her friends and family. It is called Retirement!

Since this was a recent decision, we were not able to honor Mrs. Jacobs at our end of the year all school Mass. We would like to acknowledge her dedication, commitment, and love she has shown to SPC students for over 28 years!!

We will be compiling words of remembrance, special thoughts and wishes or fond memories to share with her. If you would like to share with us, please send your words, letters, or cards to the school office c/o Linda Foy and have Mrs. Jacobs name on the envelope. We will be presenting her with a basket full of these wishes at a faculty party in her honor.
