Formed.org is a great Catholic resource available to our parishioners. It not only contains free Catholic movies, books, catechesis material and audio programs, it also contains these items in formats for children and young adults. As school ends this week, this would be a great time to let our young students know this is available to them and it is free. Here is how to access the resources:

 1) Click this link to go to FORMED
2) Go to Register
3) Enter our Parish Code:  74Y7CR
4) Enter their email and create a password.
5) They then have access to Catholic movies, books, audio programs and catechesis programs.

Art News: The Seventh Grade participated in the International Children’s Art Exchange which is a program whose goal is to foster global awareness in today's increasingly interconnected world. Participating in this Exchange gives students the opportunity to help expand their understanding of foreign cultures and traditions through art created by children. SPC students created artwork showing images of world peace and the American way of life. Organizers in Greece sent our art to 42 different schools in 9 countries. In return, we received artwork made by children from these countries. The work of five seventh graders was kept to represent our school and the United States at an exhibit in Greece! Congrats to Noel C., Kate L., Matt J.M., Liam M., and Renee P.

Celebrating the Spirit 2017:

Dear SPC Families,

We are in the final days of this year’s Celebrating the Spirit fund-raising effort. TOMORROW, Friday, March 17th is the deadline for signing up for Teacher Celebrations and Out of Uniform Passes. The prices will then increase to $20.   We have a few Party Boards with a handful of spots available: Mother-Daughter Barre Code party; Mother-Son Minute-to-Win-It; Tailgate in SPC’s own parking lot; and the always popular…Daddy-Daughter Dance!   The CTS website is also accepting donations directly to the FUSE initiative. This is a STEAM program in collaboration with Northwestern University that has been the target of this year’s Celebrating the Spirit efforts. We are closing in on our target goal! To see what the excitement is about, check out a few of the challenges we are trying to make available for SPC students: https://www.fusestudio.net/challenges .

  • 3D You! – Students create a 3D model of themselves

  • Mini Me Animation – Students use 3D animation software to bring a CGI figure to life; customizing, giving them       expressions, and teaching them to dance!

  • Coaster Boss – Students build and race roller coasters

  • How to train Your Robot – Students train a “Sparki” robot to walk, bark, draw, and fetch

Please consider donating via the “Buy it now” link on the CTS website:https://spcsch.ejoinme.org/CTS2017

Thank you!
