Teaching Experience

I began teaching in the Chicago Public Schools in 1995. I taught Kindergarten, Push-In Resource and Early Childhood Special Education while teaching in CPS. I began working at St Paul of the Cross in 2007 as a Resource Teacher for grades Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.

Teaching Experience

I have held a variety of teaching positions that included infants on up to developmentally disabled adults and English language learners. This school year is the start of my twelfth year teaching at St. Paul of the Cross. I am currently the third and fourth grade Resource teacher.

Teaching Experience

I worked one year for Title I on Chicago’s south side. I taught a self-contained learning disabilities class for 4th-6th graders at Whittier School in Northlake for nine years. I substitute taught here at SPC for seven years. This is my ninth year as a 5th-8th grade resource teacher at St. Paul of the Cross.

Teaching Experience

 I substituted in the Archdiocese of Chicago for two years and then got a full time teaching position. For 18 years I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades at St. Edward School in Chicago. I then was the principal of St. Tarcissus School in Chicago for 6 years. Because I missed the classroom, I decided to return to teaching and came to St. Paul of the Cross. I was the 7th and 8th grade math teacher for 2 years and have been teaching grades 5 – 8 math resource since 2007.

 

Additional Responsibilities at SPC

I am the moderator for the grades 5 – 8 Math Olympiad and the math coach for the grade 7 & 8 Math Competition Team.
